This coming Sunday night, September 17th, will see a ‘Grand Cabaret and Dance’ at the Squealing Pig Muff. The floods may be in the past, but the suffering of those affected is very much in the ‘here and now’.

Francis Donnelly, singer/musician/entertainer has organised the event and it promises to be a great night. He has a host of entertainment planned and guest entertainers are travelling from as far as Co. Down and Co. Antrim on the night.

Donnelly himself is a regular artist in ‘The Pig’ and he was also a guest artist at the Letterkenny fundraiser recently. Donnelly gave his time to play opening act last Friday night at the playpark prior to David James. He very kindly gave his time that night free of charge. Having recently moved to Donegal he says the people of Muff and those who frequent the Pig are very good to him. He was scheduled to play on Sunday night and has now wavered his fee and turned the said night into this fundraiser. Donnelly says, “This is my way of saying thank you to the local people and it’s my turn to give something back.” I’d say that deserves a pretty big ‘thank you’ from all here.

Guest entertainers include: Francis Donnelly himself; Cowboy Larry; Malcolm Fisher; Sharon Nixon and Evelyn from the Envoys. A great night’s fun and entertainment is guaranteed.

Inishowen and the devastation caused here might not feature in the news headlines anymore, but the reality is very much evident here in our community. So why not come along on Sunday night to the ‘Pig’ and help support those who have been badly affected from that fateful night.

Funds raised on the night will be presented also on the night, to the community which will in turn go to the aid of those affected.
