It’s not yet two years since brothers Kevin and Shane took over the Centra shop in Muff. They’ve been welcomed into the village from the onset and now seem right at home here.
Just last weekend all their hard work at this new store paid off. Centra Muff were announced winners of ‘Store of the Year’ (medium size category) at the Irish Forecourt Convenience Awards in Dublin.
The boys said, “we are very delighted and very proud of everyone here at the shop.”
Kevin told me, “We always knew we had assembled a special bunch and now Grainne Seoige officially agrees!”
So did they both go off to Dublin expecting the win? “No we definitely didn’t expect to win. We weren’t even sure about attending until the last minute. Glad we did now!”, said Kevin.
“We were really surprised, but delighted to win and especially what the judges said about our staff and service level as that’s what we’ve tried to focus on since we opened.”
Kevin added that both he and Shane want to thank “everyone who has supported the shop as we approach our second anniversary. We all really appreciate it.”
And to celebrate there’s half price chickens instore until Saturday! For a meagre €3 you get the whole bird!! Now that’s value for money, and dinner on the table!
