Muff Festival 2016 has shown just what an amazing village we all reside in. A great 4 day festival brought young and old together for a wide range of family friendly events. This was the 35th annual Muff Festival and it proved to be an absolutely fantastic one.
Last night saw a new element to the festival. A grand festival finalé and awards ceremony at the Squealing Pig. A number of awards were given out and one such award was for ‘Outstanding Festival Female’.
This award went to a little lady who brightened up the village and the festival field all weekend. She was running along, playing, dancing, running, dog-sitting and more throughout the entirety of the weekend. She participated in all events and she shone for the Festival committee.
Caraoisa (Cara) Grant is such a deserved winner of this years ‘Outstanding Festival Female’. Having battled cancer in recent years, she has always been a tonic to meet. Throughout every treatment over the course of her illness, she still remained a little ray of sunshine. I feel very privilidged to know this young lady.
Last night this little ray of sunshine shone brightly as she received her award. This is one award that was deserved. Muff would be a much duller place without such bright young people like Cara at it’s centre.
