It’s official. Those dancing shoes really are going to hit the dance floor at The Plaza, Buncrana on Easter Sunday night. Fingers crossed the feet will all work as rehearsed!
Tonight saw Lee Gooch, Sponsors and Committee members of CLG Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin officially launch Strictly Come Dancing 2016. Fifteen dancing couples also dressed for the occasion and all feet are ready to GO.
CENTRA MUFF, SPAR MUFF, TOPAZ FUELS, HARKINS SHOP, DONAGHY FUELS, PETER MC LAUGHLIN DONEGAL SIGNS, TEXACO FUELS AND MAX SPORTS CLUB were all represented tonight as the final countdown really is underway.
Michael McMenamin from CLG Naomh Padraig said tonight that “it’s great to have all the sponsors on board. They’ve all been very generous. They are a great recommendation about the community we have here in the local area.” Michael also explained the reason for organising such a big fundraising event. “The club hopes to improve our facilites and especially for the underage. We currently cater for boys and girls from aged 6. The club also provides various facilities for adults.”
Michael thanked John and Bríd Gill for all their hard work in recent weeks with the dancers and said “they really have worked miracles.” Time will tell just how many of these miracles materialise on the dance floor this coming Easter Sunday night.
STRICTLY COME DANCING for CLG Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin takes place at The Plaza, Buncrana, Sunday 27th March at 8pm. Will it be twinkling toes on the dance floor, or will it be dancing left feet, one will have to wait and see. Going by all the hard work that is currently underway and the dedication of all dancers, I’ll go with expecting the former….twinkling toes all round that dancefloor!
