Weekend Music

It was another good weekend of music in Moville.

I went to Annie’s Bar on the Friday night where I saw a three-piece band called Bramble play.

They were top class.

I’d certainly like to see them again.

I had only intended to stay for one pint but I stayed a lot longer.

Saturday Night

On Saturday night I went to see Savage Henry in Rosatos.

There was only one of them this time but it was the main guy (I don’t know if he was Savage or Henry) and he was pretty good.

I had intended going up The Clock to see Cassette, that great band from Derry but never made it.

I’m told Rawdons was busy too with a Celtic band playing.

Sunday Night

On the Sunday night I caught an act in Annie’s Bar before going up The Clock.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a girl duo, Caitlin and Chloe from Burnfoot, playing in The Clock as they don’t usually have music on a Sunday night.

Valentine’s Day seemed to be the reason.

It seems that they had also  been playing in Annie’s Bar on the Saturday night.

it seems that they had played several years ago when in their mid-teens in Rosatos.

Although still a little raw they look to have plenty of talent and I would think we’ll see them around Moville more.

So, a nice music weekend in Moville and another one to look forward to which will include The Cavanagh Brothers in The Clock and probably Debbie and Geraldine in Rosatos.
