I’m sure you’ve heard it said that one dog year equals 7 human years.

However, it seems that this is not true.

After all, dog’s (or bitches) can get pregnant at quite an early age in human terms.

I’ve seen elsewhere that the first 2 years of a dog’s life are each worth 10.5 human years and then each year after that equals 4 human years.

It seems the calculation is more complex than that.

It depends on the breed of dog too.

Bigger dogs don’t live as long as smaller dogs.
