TV3’s Seven O’Clock Show

Yesterday evening I was contacted by Donegal Tourism’s Iga Lawne who said that TV3’s popular programme the Seven O’Clock Show had been in touch and they wanted to feature the DylanFest on the Lough.

Here’s the message:-

“I’m working for The Seven O Clock Show on TV3 & we’re covering the top four events over the coming days & you guys are up there! We’ll have 2FM’s Ciara King chatting about it & we’d love some promotional pictures and also some video footage, if you have any, to compliment her interview.”

When Iga questioned which festival it was the reply was:-

“Yes of course. It’s the DylanFest on the Lough. I couldn’t find much footage or images to help promote it on tomorrow’s show. If you have any could you send them our way?”

DylanFest Footage

Well, Iga replied copying me in and I can assure you Helena from TV3 is not short of footage or images now.

Helena sent a further email saying:-

“Thanks Gerry, that’s loads there. I’ll work with one of those videos you sent me & I’ve the poster and a few pictures that I’ll give to the producer to use at her discretion on the show.

“Tune in tonight at 7pm and let your friends know! Tag us on twitter & FB. I tagged you guys where I could.”

DylanFest on the Lough Featured Event

It seems that the DylanFest on the Lough has been chosen as one of the Four Featured Events of the Week.

Keep en eye out for it. You may be in the video footage or in one of the pictures as I sent loads.

While writing this I’ve just had to stop off as I got a call from the programme from Ciara to ask me some more questions about the festival.

There’s a Buzz

The indications are very good for this year.

There’s been a lot of talk about it in the national and local media, there’s been a buzz in the town and there’s been a lot of enquiries from people who are coming or who want to come.

And it all starts with the great Al Diesan, Europe’s top Dylan act, in Rosatos tonight.

Bobby Does Dylan, the man who Bob Dylan just had to meet, who joint headlines the festival, will also be there, and tickets for his show on Friday and Saturday evenings will be available in Rosatos. He will be supported by The Dylanites from Derry.

They are also available in the Caiseal Mara Hotel reception, Gillen’s Shop and the Moville Holiday Hostel.

So, pass this around so that as many people as possible see it.

Before anyone asks the Seven O’Clock Show is at 7pm tonight on TV3.
