DylanFest Accommodation
The DylanFest will take place from August 27th to 30th this year. It has become highly popular. The guys that come here to play tell me that this is the biggest DylanFest in Europe.
That’s in a small town at the top of Ireland which has a population of less than 1,500.
Luckily we have the luxury Redcastle Hotel just 4 miles away which has 96 rooms.
This year the Caiseal Mara Hotel, right in the centre of the town, is open for business.
That’s great news.
Hotels Full
However, according to the booking part of their website, the Caiseal Mara is now full for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of the DylanFest.
I also checked on the Redcastle booking page on their website and I see that they are fully booked for the Saturday night of the DylanFest and only have one type of accommodation for the Thursday and Friday nights of the DylanFest although they have accommodation for the Sunday night.
Of course, there are loads of hotels in Derry / Londonderry, including the plush City Hotel, which is around 17 miles (or 27 kilometres) away with a good taxi service.
More Accommodation Needed
So, as we don’t want to turn anyone away from the DylanFest, we are looking for more people with accommodation.
There’s still the picturesque Moville Holiday Hostel which has hostel, Camping and Camper Van facilities and the hostel facilities, like showers, are available to the campers. It’s only about 200 yards away from the centre of the DylanFest.

There’s also Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering accommodation available (see below).

We have a four bedroom/four bathroom self-catering holiday home in the centre of the town overlooking Lough Foyle. It’s available from Saturday 29th August.

We need accommodation. I’ve just had this from a regular DylanFest visitor “Hi mate, I,’ve left it a bit late to get a room this year, phoned around the town, most are booked up for Dylanfest, any accommodation going that u know of for the Sat night, cheers, Robin”.

Do you have a second house or flat in Moville? You could rent it out for DylanFest weekend from Aug 27th to 30th.
We are renovating an old thatched cottage in Shrove which is almost finished but will not be ready for Dylan Fest sadly.
