Donegal Win
Donegal gave their fans a scare this evening but won through in the end looking convincing with it.
They missed a lot of kicks against Monaghan in the Ulster Final but only lost by one point.
They started brightly and went 7-3 up including a goal.
However, they then seemed to get bogged down in midfield passing the ball about there but they lacked penetration.
Galway Lead
It’s almost as if they were trying to play for time and hold on to their 7-3 lead.
However, Galway scored four times in a row to go in at halftime level at 7-7.
On the restart Galway went into the lead.
Donegal Romp Home
However, just when the fans were starting to worry, Donegal scored three times on the trot to make it 10-8.
They had a man black carded in the 50th minute, though.
Although they had a two point advantage, they had to play with a man short.
However, they romped home after that, scoring two more goals and winning 21 points to 12 or 3-12 to 0-11.
Looking Good
They looked a good team at the start and in the second half.
Shame they went to sleep in the latter part of the first half but it didn’t matter in the end.
Can they win the Sam Maguire trophy?
On today’s performance they can.
