One doesn’t normally expect to spend time on a Wednesday morning in the Doctor’s waiting room and find yourself getting therapy you hadn’t planned or even thought you needed. But that’s exactly what happened earlier today at Muff Medical centre.
A certain Mrs B and ourselves got chatting and as we moaned about the lack of sunshine and summer the same Mrs B used her positive outlook and optimism to cheer one and all up. There was no prescription necessary and no doctor’s fee into the bargain.
As Mrs B pointed out, we are so lucky and fortunate to be living in a part of the world where tsunami’s don’t make an appearance, tornado’s keep at bay, and food is never scarce! We might have wet and wintry weather and a distinct lack of sunshine, but we are all alive and not afraid to walk our streets. As our new therapist pointed out, there’s little chance of our wee river Foyle erupting anytime soon in a tsunami.

And to top it off, the month of August is destined to be a warm one. So it concluded that our autumn will be lengthened and our winter shortened! (Time will tell, but for now, we’ll settle for that!)

So Mrs B, thanks for the free session and helping to put a smile of everyone’s face. For now the prognosis is good, and the outlook might even be bright. So next time you’re feeling a little under the ‘weather’ just hunt down our Mrs B, and the sun shall shine, guaranteed!
