Inishowen Vintage Big Band Nights Acts Named
Inishowen Vintage Big Band Nights
The Inishowen Vintage Show are going mainly local for their musical acts, this year, on their Big Band Nights at Carrick Field, which is great to hear.
The main act on the Friday night, June 12th, is the David Craig Band. They will start at 11pm and go on till late.
However, supporting them on the Friday night, and starting at 9:30pm, will be great young local act Lauren and Shane (presumably with Stuart the drummer as well).
They play regularly at the Caiseal Mara Hotel and this is a great opportunity for them in front of an audience likely to be in the hundreds. They will start at 9:30pm on the Friday.
Inishowen Vintage Show Saturday Night
On the main night, the Saturday night, June 13th, the Inishowen Vintage Show Committee have gone for two local acts.
A couple of years ago the headline act on the Saturday was Nathan Carter. This year it is the Yetis. Yes, that’s right, James, Paul and Stephen are now top of the bill on the peak Saturday night after such a great performance as the top act on the Friday night last year.
Indeed, last year, The Yetis pulled more people to the marquee on the Friday night than the main act on the Saturday night did – so it was an obvious promotion to headline the whole damned event. They will start at 11pm and go on till late.
Spring Tides
Supporting them, and playing on Inishowen Vintage Big Band Nights, for the first time, will be local band, Spring Tides, who reformed for the recent Busker Abu on TG4. where they just lost out in the heats to the act that finished runner-up in the final.
They will start at 9:30pm.
It’s great to see the Inishowen Vintage Show supporting local acts.
It’s also great to see that there are local acts that the Inishowen Vintage Show Committee consider to be good enough to put on on the Inishowen Vintage Big Band Nights.
There is a fully licensed bar.
It sounds as if they should be two great nights.
It’s all for charity too.
