Spring Tides

There was a huge crowd in The Clock last night to see Spring Tides play led by James O’Donnell.

It was like the old days when the Town Clock (as it was then) was packed out every Saturday night and was pretty busy Friday too.

The only thing missing was Eddie Harkin.

Growing Crowd

When I went up there was already a big crowd in but it grew and grew as the night went on.

Spring Tides have come on in leaps and bounds since they last used to play about the town.

They were always great entertainers,

Now, however, they have gone up a notch as a band.

Ronan’s Song

They’re a really tight band now as well and take their cue from Ronan on the drums.

They played old favourites like their own song Like A Cow but included new ones with Ronan’s song which I think was called The Nation which got a good applause.

It was great to see people up dancing again in The Clock. As I said, it was like old times.

Guaranteed Crowd

It was always said about the town “If you want a guaranteed crowd, book The Yetis”.

Now you can add Spring Tides to that too.

They’ve come back bigger and better than ever.

It may not be the last that the TG4 Busker Abu judges hear about Spring Tides.
