A new survey shows that Iris people are the most overqualified for their jobs in Europe.
An astonishing 33% of Irish people in work are overqualified for their jobs.
It seems that too many people here are going on to third level education for the jobs that are here.
This has resulted in a new wave of emigration of educated young people from Ireland to other countries.
It seems that there are too many people with degrees on minimum wage jobs.
Here are the percentages of overqualified people in other countries in Europe:-
33% – Ireland
30% – Spain
28% – Greece
24% – Italy
22% – Netherlands
21% – Britain
18% – Germany
17% – France
14% – Sweden
11%Â Poland
It seems that overqualification for a job leads to lower job satisfaction.
