Jack Craig was runner-up to Matt Whoriskey in the last Moville & Greencastle Music Academy Songwriter Contest. The final was held in Rosatos.
The songs he had in the final finished second, third and fifth.
If there was an overall songwriters title he would have won it.
Songwriter Contest
Jack hails from Derry and was a childhood friend with Matt Whoriskey and the Songwriter contest reunited them.
When TG4 got in touch looking for talent I was able to recommend him.
They liked what he did and put hin through to the live TV contest which is to find the best Busker in Ireland.
Filming for Busker Abu
The show is called Busker Abu and it will be filmed in late February and early March for later screening.
There are ten shows altogether with eight contestants in each. Only one contestant goes through to the semi finals from each show.
Jack must surely have a chance of progressing.
