Busker Abu on TG4
Joining Debbie & Geraldine, the revamped Spring Times and Moville & Greencastle Music Academy Songwriter Contest winner, Lawrence Hackett, in TG4’s new talent show Busker Abu is American Michael Thomas.
Michael is originally from New York but lives across Lough Foyle now. He has played regularly with Henry McCullough who was in Paul McCartney’s Wings and was the only Irishman to play at Woodstock.
Michael is a real top musician.
BeatlesFest Moville
He has been the main act at the last three BeatlesFests, playing Rosatos on the Saturday nights. He also played there a couple of months ago in a one-off special.
He can play a full set of Beatles, Dylan, Hendrix and Pink Floyd songs.
I sent TG4’s new show, Busker Abu’s producer the video of Michael playing at Rosatos in the BeatlesFest – and they loved him immediately.

Busker Abu Finals
He must really be in with a shout. It’s a good set of acts that we’ve sent to Busker Abu.
There are ten shows with eight acts in each. Only one from each show gets through to the semi finals.
Let’s hope that at least one of those who we sent off to them gets through to the semis. I think they have a chance.
