Busker Abu – Moville’s Debbie & Geraldine to Star on TV
Busker Abu
We received the exciting news today that Debbie & Geraldine, otherwise known as the Decibelles, are going to be on a nationally televised talent contest to find the best busker in Ireland.
It will be on TG4 and is called Busker Abu.
Debbie & Geraldine will be in Dublin to film for the talent show on March 4th which will air later.
They will on a couple of days after Spring Tides who will record their part of the show on March 2nd.
National Songwriters Contest
Debbie & Geraldine came out of nowhere to come second in our first National Songwriters Contest.
They finished behind Lawrence Hackett from Cork and ahead of Sean O’Neill from Dublin.
They were the top local act at the Songwriter Contest.
They had never even played a gig before.
Regular Giggers
They are now regular performers around the area playing in places like the Sean Ti, Rosatos and Annie’s, among others.
They bring a breath of fresh air to their performances. Every time I see them they are better than the previous time.
They sing great harmonies and always look as if they are enjoying themselves.
National Stage
Now, the nation will see them perform.
There will be 10 shows with acts each – but only one form each show will go through to the semi-finals.
CraicOn has been told we can get as many tickets as we want so if anyone wants to go and see them perform for free just get in touch at [email protected] and be part of the audience.
Maybe a 3-day trip to Dublin, from March 2nd to 4th, to see Spring Tides and Debbie & Geraldine would be a good idea.
James O’Donnell is talking about organising a busload to go down.
