Inishowen Heating Oil Prices

We stuck up an article earlier this week showing how heating oil prices have fallen sharply in Inishowen.
We showed that Swilly Fuels was cheapest with 1,000 litres of heating oil selling for €589 and 500 litres for €315. That compares with €850 for 1,000 litres not so long ago.

The oil price on the world market has tumbled from $120 a barrel to $49 a barrel.

A reader emailed us to say that Inishowen Oil were doing 500 litres for €310 – although their 1,000 litre price was higher at €600.

Now, Swilly Fuels have dropped their prices further.

1,000 litres of heating oil is now selling for €584 and 500 litres for €308 – the cheapest that we can find around here.

As the fall in world oil prices hasn’t fully filtered through locally yet, as suppliers would have purchased their current stocks at higher prices, you can expect the heating oil prices to fall further.
