Earlier this morning it was announced that Scoil Naomh Bríd in Muff would remain closed today. Children, parents and teachers alike rejoiced in this news.
It was a welcomed piece of news and everyone has enjoyed a day in the snow. Facebook is awash with family photos enjoying time together in the snow.
On a walk earlier today I noticed that a number of local businesses were also out enjoying the snow day and creating their own piece of snow sculpture. Snowmen have been built throughout the village.
McMonagle Family Butchers and The Border Cafe took time out of work today and made their masterpiece together.

Further along the street North West Memorials took time out also and created their Snowman.

And then just a little further along the road is a rather stark likeness of our very own musician Liam A. Could it really be him?

The snow is set to leave us tonight as Rachael the storm approaches. So for now the folk of Muff must take a wee break from snow creations, but it’s possible they may well be back in action come the weekend. Here’s to more snow days and snow fun.
