Aoife McLaughlin

After several years of working in Rosatos, Aoife McLaughlin leaves on a flight for Canada today. She has no job set up in Toronto, where she is going, but she has decided to emigrate anyway.

A massive crowd of over a hundred turned out on Saturday night to see her off and wish her well. There was as many in as there were over the busy Christmas period.

Owner Eddie Harkin was still sad though. “I’m losing one of my best-ever workers” he explained.

The customers would agree with that. Aoife worked tirelessly and was always able to spot who needed serving.

She always had a smile for them and maybe a bit of banter too.

She will be sorely missed but her customers will wish her well in Canada.
