Oh dear, and I say that with heartfelt emotion…I really do! It’s just come to my attention, that today, Wed, Nov 19th is indeed ‘International Men’s Day’. Who’d have thought it???
So what’s it all about?
International Men’s Day is annually held on November 19 to improve gender relations and promote unity.International Men’s Day is a time for many people to reflect on the contributions, sacrifices and progress made by men in society. Such progress includes that of men working together with women to make educational, economic, social, and technological advances in society.
So ladies, if you want to do something special for your man today, just wish him a ‘Happy International Men’s Day’…’cos no doubt every day is ‘man’s day’ in every household…and now I must put on me running shoes and run…run…run….(well when you’ve lived with 4 men as long as I have, this is true anyways)….and I’m running…..
Why not just have an International Peoples Day instead of a separate Womans day and Mans Day? That might promote a bit more unity and understanding (he says, tongue firmly in cheek)
