Martin Farren in dogfight for 9th council seat
Martin Farren is in a close fight to clinch the final seat in the Inishowen council elections. It is touch and go.
Ciaran McLaughlin of Sinn Fein has 1268 votes and is in 8th place.
Martin Farren has 1258 votes and is in 9th place.
John Ryan of Fine Gael has 1213 votes and is in 10th place.
There are only 9 seats available.
It’s going to be touch and go for Martin.
He got a much better first vote tally than last time. However, because of Labour’s unpopularity he has got less transfer votes.
Black Mickey’s votes are now being counted and Martin is hoping for a good load of those. However, fellow Fine Gael Candidate Jon Ryan can expect some too.
This is going to the wire.
