St Eugene’s Hall, Moville, is set to receive a €10, 000 facelift as a follow-on to the storm damage repair funding already allocated.

.
Donegal County Council has been allocated €80, 000 for storm damage repairs to the Moville / Greencastle shore walks and has now been allocated a further enhancement grant of €7, 235 to paint the outside of St Eugene’s Hall.

.
Welcoming the additional funding for the hall Labour councillor, Martin Farren, said that all the repair and enhancement works should be completed for the summer season.

.
St Eugene’s Hall was successful in receiving €7, 235 from the Council’s enhancement scheme.

.

This money, along with the €2, 500 from my local councillor’s fund for renewing the outside doors, means that the hall will now present itself as suitable centrepiece for anyone walking the shore paths.

.

Said Councillor Martin Farren:-

.
“I would like to pay tribute to our local CE scheme for the work they have already done on restoring the pathways and to the hall committee and Council staff for securing the funds to make these upgrades possible.

.

“This shows the community working together to optimise scarce funding.”
