It’s that time of the month again…NO, not that time! It’s the time that the crazy ladies from Muff venture into the unknown and heaven knows what awaits them! Tonight was no exception.
A wee dinner, wine and movie night was again on the menu. Cafe del Mondo was the venue, and ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ was the entertainment! There was excellent food, pretty darn good vino, great musical film, and scrumptious jelly beans!! Cafe del Mondo had it all tonight. And perhaps most important was the company. One couldn’t complain! Inishowen gals and friends from years past, all got together and a fun filled night ensued. Old neighbours from Carndonagh met up…old friends reunited…and new friends made. It was all a happening earlier tonight.
And those Muff ladies mingled with the ‘in’ crowd…there was the ‘jazz’ singer…the ‘poet’…and the ‘film producer’…the gals felt right at home!sevenbrides
Once again chitter and a little goss didn’t escape the said ladies. From fitness, to alcohol consumption, to cycling and holidays, it was all discussed. And the merlot was flowing more substantially than the chardonnay!!! No chance of cycling tomorrow morning!
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers brought much laughter from the entire audience. Definitely a ladies night and although we might all want a waist like the seven brides, we certainly don’t want a man who expects us to clean, cook and cater for his six brothers as well as himself…poor Milly on discovering her fate on her wedding day!!! But like a true lady, she sure showed them how it’s done…and shipped each and every one of them into shape!
Unfortunately some of the Muff Ladies were unable to make tonight so another venture soon will no doubt be on the cards. Hopefully the taxi service will be as good as it was tonight….from the butcher’s merc to the independent BMW taxi…they sure traveled in style!
