QPS successfully brought home the Credit Union Cup to Muff on Saturday night last. The Squealing Pig in the village welcomed them back and I believe an entertaining night followed.QPS 1
Having unfortunately missed the game due to a holiday break, I was kept up to date throughout the match by a local spectator. My mobile sat by my side until the final whistle blew.
QPS left back Paul Grant got the Point off to a roaring start after just 7 minutes from the penalty spot. At the 26 minute mark, the equaliser came for Buncrana. From all reports I’ve heard, the Point came out fighting in the second half and their determination paid off. They played an explosive 45 minutes and Odhran McColgan fired home the winning goal. McColgan was also awarded ‘Man of the Match’. A title well deserved. A win was secured for QPS and the lads have ended the season with this well deserved silverware.QPS 2
Managed by Paul Hegarty and assisted by Kevin Wallace, the Point will finish their final few games over the coming weeks and prepare for the title fight once more in 2015. QPS 3
