Muff girl takes to the catwalk in Dublin at The Junk Kouture Finals tomorrow.
Junk Kouture is a national competition for second level students in Ireland and Northern Ireland which challenges teenagers to create high-end wearable fashion from everyday junk that would normally find its way into the bin. Junk Kouture aims to inspire and ignite passion in these teenagers while at the same time subtly educating them about the importance of recycling and reusing waste for the good of the planet. In the last three years, Junk Kouture has established itself as the premier fashion competition for teenagers throughout Ireland.
Muff’s Stephanie Thompson will be modelling the ‘eggstravagant’ outfit which she and her two friends, Kate McCauley and Patricia Margey have created for this years Junk Kouture. The girls won through from the regionals last month and are now set to take the stage in Dublin at the O2 tomorrow night. Muffs Stephanie will once more be dawning the catwalk with the dress, shoes and hat which the three of them had compiled from egg cartons! The creation is better known as ‘eggstravagant’!
I’m told that the three ladies have a very early start tomorrow with their journey to the Fair City. Here’s wishing all three of them the very best of luck. Getting to the finals is a huge achievement and they should be very proud. Congratulations on getting this far and well done to your teachers, friends, family and all your support network. Have a great day and night and enjoy the experience girls.
