Junk Kouture
There is a competition called Junk Kouture for secondary school students all around Ireland where the students make fashion creations out of recycled junk.
Every year students from Moville Community College enter and have never made the grand final – but they have this year!!
Stephanie Thompson from Muff, Kate McCauley from Greencastle and Patricia Margey from Quigley’s Point made a dress out of egg cartons and have progressed to the final in the o2 Arena, Dublin on the 3rd of May.
For the grand final, every dressmaker must canvass to get people to vote for their creation.
The girls need all the votes that they can get.
Their dress is called ‘Eggstravagant’ and here is the link to vote:
Voting is open from the 14th – 25th of April and you can vote once per day.
They are currently 5th of 27 schools nationally.
Every vote counts!!!
Update
They are now up to 4th with 103 votes. Could they make the top 3? They’re only 2 votes behind the 3rd place entry at the moment.
