Storm

Moville is currently being hit by another deluge of rain with winds getting up. The British Isles is predicted to get a month’s worth of rain over the next two days.

With the wind getting up and the tides getting higher over the next few days Moville is under threat again. We are expecting a lethal cocktail of heavy rain, high winds and high tides – precisely what we don’t need.

Shore Path

The River Row and the Shore Path have taken a terrible buffeting over the last few weeks and it looks as if the danger is not over yet.

Bathing Boxes

The shore path was just starting to recover from the storms of early January, thanks to the sterling efforts of the FAS guys, when the early February storm struck and cause more damage.

Now we are being hit by a mid-February storm.

The winters haven’t boring over the last few years, have they?

Wild Weather

It’s only 17 days to March but I think we’ve got some pretty wild weather to put up with first.

In a few weeks time we’ll be seeing the daffodils and the crocuses coming up and looking forward to spring and then summer.

However, we have some punishment to take first before we get there.

So, batten down the hatches till then.
