Monster Wave

Last Sunday saw the highest ever wave measured in Ireland off the North Donegal coast.

The wave was measured at 23.5 metres which is more than 77 feet high.

It seems that this is good news for Donegal as the publicity means that it will get a better reputation for surfing and more surfers are expected to come here.

Ill Wind

They say it’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good and this appears to prove the point.

As the storms battered us here I must say that surfing would have been the last thing on my mind.

Maybe we’ll be seeing more Aussies about the place.
