England’s Greatest ever football team has been named. It takes an average finishing position in the league since the 1958/59 season when the league was expanded.

The leading team, by this measure, is Liverpool, with Man Utd in 2nd place. Man Utd have actually gained more points over this period but that’s mainly because points for a win have gone from 2 to 3 in the period when they dominated.
