The property market may have picked up in Dublin last year but rising property prices are still in the doldrums in Moville.

In 2012 there were 15 properties sold in Moville. They fetched an average of €129,000.

In 2013 there were only 7 properties sold all year in Moville. they fetched an average of €94,000.

That’s a fall of an astonishing 27% in just a year. It’s not just business premises like pubs, hotels and restaurants that are plunging in price around here.

Of course, the numbers of properties involved are not really high enough to be definitive – but it’s similar to Greencastle where property prices fell by 30%.

However, I think it is safe to say that property prices in Moville are still falling.
