Donegal house prices tumbling
House Prices
In Dublin and other parts of the country house prices are rising – but not in Donegal. Daft.ie has published its latest report on the property market in Ireland.
It shows that property prices have fallen by a further 7% in Donegal in the past year.
Since the peak of the boom, house prices in Donegal have fallen by an astonishing 57%.
Average house prices here are now an average of €115,000.
No Recovery
There seems to be no signs of recovery.
At least they haven’t fallen as much as commercial property prices in the area. They appear to have fallen by 85% to 90%.
Usually house prices start rising in Dublin and then spread outwards from there.
At some point house prices will start rising here. However, with a fall of 7% in the last year it doesn’t look as if the bottom has been reached.
