Christmas Day!

It’s here again – Christmas Day. All the preparations and the shopping are over. All the shops are shut now. All over Inishowen children will be waking up and waking up their parents to show them what Santa brought them.

Children never seem to sleep in on Christmas Day. For some reason they always wake up at some ungodly time like 5 or 6 o’clock in the morning. Any other day of the year it is hard to get them up – especially on a schoolday.

My children are getting older now and this must be the first time I have ever been up before them on Christmas Day. Although, they may be awake in their rooms watching TV or playing computer games.

Weather

For those abroad, it is a nice Christmas morning outside with clear blue skies. I don’t think there will be many taking a dip in the lough as those Movillians in New Zealand did. Even though it has been a good year for weather with mild weather almost up to Christmas I don’t think there will be any turkeys done on the barbecue.

CraicOn

This has been a good year for CraicOn with it now ranked 231,318th busiest website in the world according to Alexa. As there are more than 40 million websites that puts it in the top 1% of website sin the world.

It ranks even better in Ireland at 855th busiest website, making it the busiest Donegal based website.

So thanks to all CraicOn readers for helping us get there. I know that it is read all over the world in places such as New York, California, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Italy as well as in England, Scotland and Wales.

A Merry Christmas to you all – and enjoy the day!
