It was the 2nd annual Christmas Jumper night in Moville. They have Christmas Jumper nights in Greencastle too but the pubs have them on different nights. Moville pubs have them on the same night.

It means that there can be more of  a party atmosphere when people can go from pub to pub showing their Christmas Jumpers and other outfits and seeing what other people have got.

Common Theme

Moville lends itself more to a common theme night, though, as all the pubs are in easy walking distance of each other and people can flit about easily and see what is happening everywhere. I think that is why the DylanFest and BeatlesFest are more successful in Moville than they are in Greencastle.

That great duo from Derry, Bulrush, were in Rosatos and they gave it a lively atmosphere.

It was a great night and a great addition to the social calendar. Looking at the acts that are going to be on over Christmas and New Year it looks as if it’s going to be a bumper festive time.

I’m really looking forward to it.
