The Christmas tree was erected in Moville’s main square last Saturday. It’s in preparation for the Christmas lights switch on at 6pm on Sunday.

The big highlight is when Santa arrives on the fire engine. the queue for the grotto will be quite large by the time he arrives. Everyone will wait patiently in the queue to take their kids in to see Santa and receive their presents.

There’s usually a DJ playing music in the square and it is traditional that the Town Clock dispenses some mulled wine etc.

It’s one of the best and nicest evenings of the year in Moville.

Be there, or be in the square.

Update

I’ve been told they cannot use the fire engine to bring Santa to the square for the usual reason why they stop all good things – insurance reasons.
