Paddy

He’s played in all 16 of Moville’s pubs – even though there are only 8 left. Now, on Saturday night, Paddy the Shoe will be playing the Redcastle Hotel. Paddy is perfect for a hotel gig as he knows so many songs and can play so many requests.

He plays a wide variety of music which will be played on guitar, harmonica, cittern and banjo.

He plays a mixture of Irish Folk & Trad as well as the pop and rock classics. He can play Irish ballads by people like Christy Moore, the Dubliners, Jimmy McCarthy and The Clancy Brothers.

Country and Rock

He plays American Country with songs from such singers as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzel, Ry Cooder, John Hiatt and George Jones.

Paddy being a huge Dylan fan, the night wouldn’t be complete without a few Bob Dylan songs but he also plays songs by John Prine, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, The Bee Gees, Dean Martin, Don McLean, Joe South, Elvis, Tom Waits amongst others.

I’m sure there must be one or more of hose that you like.

Everyone Welcome

The music will start at 10pm on Saturday evening. Singers from the floor are very welcome as are requests.

It’s played in a very relaxed style and not too loud so that you can’t talk.

It’s a good evening’s entertainment and you might get a request played.
