Craic On

Jimmy Harte, a close colleague of Martin Farren, was found with serious head injuries in Dublin and is in critical condition in hospital there.

He had been attending the Ireland versus Latvia football match. He was found in Newmarket square with the head injuries in the early hours of the morning.

It is being investigated by the Gardai.

He was put into an induced coma and his condition remains critical.

He was a popular figure around here and stood for election to the Dail for Labour for Donegal North East at the last election. He lost it but was appointed to the Seanad.

Everyone will be hoping it all goes well for him.
