The quietest month for local businesses
I had thought that January and February would be the quietest months of the year for the bar and restaurant trade in the area. After all everyone is all spent out after Christmas and some have New Year resolutions to give up the drink at least for a while. Yet others want to sober up and thaw out after Christmas and New Year.
It seems that I was wrong.
The quietest month of the year is the one we are in – November. It seems that people are saving up for Christmas. They don’t want to let their kids down even if there is a recession.
Also, a lot of people go off alcohol for Advent or to have a break from it before letting their hair down over the Christmas period.
So, think of your local bar and restaurant owners during this difficult period and give generously.
