Not only was it a good summer this year but it has been a pretty good autumn as well. Indeed the bees, wasps and the occasional butterflies are still out.
Yesterday was pretty good and Moville was full of the sounds of the grass being cut and the hedges trimmed for a last time before the winter.
It was a little breezy yesterday but today it was just as warm and less breezy (and a little quieter with the grass mostly cut). Indeed it was sunbathing weather whilst the sun was out from behind the clouds.
The blackberries are at their peak now too and home-made jams should be appearing on Gillen’s counter I would expect. It would be nice if this could keep up for a while longer so that the winter doesn’t seem so long and the spring so far away.
