A mass for Motor Cyclists will be held this coming Sunday, 8th September in St. Aengus Church, Burt at 1pm. Fr Gerard Sweeney, himself known as the ‘biking priest’, will be the celebrant.
Now in its third year, Fr Sweeney welcomes bikers from all faiths and those with no faith. The mass is a way of celebrating life on the bike and pray for the safety of all those biking on our roads.
If last year is anything to go by, I can certainly guarantee a memorable day. Following the mass, the group of bikers will ride out from Burt to Ned’s Point in Buncrana. Tea and refreshments will be served there and a chance to converse with other bikers and admire other bikes can be taken advantage of. Or just enjoy a leisurely Sunday afternoon at Ned’s Point after mass.
Here’s hoping the weather keeps up and see you all at church!
