Everyone that I spoke to said either that it was one of the best DylanFests we’ve had or even that it was the best. They said that the talent on show was perhaps the best. Al Diesan’s gig in Rosatos on the Saturday night will go down in DylanFest history as one of the best and possible the best.

He wasn’t the only great act. Michael Moravek, from germany, and Sean Hiboy were tremendous too. Bulrush from Derry really got the crowd going with their high-octane Dylan music. They got a tremendous reception from the Rosatos crowd on the Sunday night – the best Sunday night crowd we’ve had. Adding to this were the Relics of Saint Valentine from Dublin, who played The Trawlerman, Maguires and The Ferryport.

It was a very good standard of Open Mic at Maguires and the Putting Green Cafe with Mickey the Hat Roberts from Wales, Scotsman Billy McInnes, Joe Barr and his wife (whose name I have forgotten again) and Conal whose 2nd name I didn’t catch.

I had a whale of a time as did many others – and it’s the BeatlesFest next weekend.
