I want to retire in Moville, Tony Bramwell tells Irish News
Most of Page 35 of the Irish News today is taken up with an interview with Tony Bramwell about the Beatles and the BeatlesFest in Moville next weekend. He told reporter Brian Campbell about the BeatlesFest “It’s just such a nice event, because Moville is such a friendly little place. The people are lovely and you get people up from Derry and Belfast and everywhere. It’s always a lovely group of people and they all enjoy themselves.
“And I love Guinness. I’ve been to Donegal about 10 or 12 times in the past four years. I’ve made some great friends there. A lot of people know me now and will say hello. I’d like to retire there”.
It’s great that Tony likes the place so much. He once told local journalist, Katie Barr, “My three favourite places in the world are Nashville, Hawaii and Moville”. Some people thought he was just saying that because he was here but after the interview with the biggest selling newspaper in Northern Ireland, it seems it is true.

Ex-head of Apple Records and Polydor Records and Beatles Road manager and Talent Scout, Tony Bramwell who discovered James Taylor and Eva Cassidy. He had the Bee Gees, Slade, The Jam and Roxy Music in his stable. He was responsible for the music for Grease and Saturday Night Fever and for 5 of the Bond films incluidng Live and Let Die.
