Great start to Greencastle Regatta
It’s one of the most eagerly awaited festivals in the area and the Greencastle Regatta got of ft a great start with some great music. On the opening night Ryan O’Dochertaigh and Kevin Brown from Derry played a great gig in the Ferryport and had the crowd clapping and cheering and asking for more.
Last night Moville was deathly quiet for a Friday night in August but there was a huge crowd in the Sean Ti to see the fantastic Yetis. If you want to draw a crowd in Moville and Greencastle just hire The Yetis. I’m told there was a huge audience to see them recently in Big Ben’s (the Town Clock). There was a huge crowd in the Sean Ti to see them play last night and they didn’t disappoint.
I’m getting worried as to their whereabouts during the DylanFest and BeatlesFest. I hope they are playing far out of town but I think that the have a least one gig in town during at least one of the Fests.
It’s the big night tonight in Greencastle. I’ll surely be there.
