Moville's DylanFest on national radio and newspapers
The indications for Stuck Inside of Moville, the DylanFest on the Lough, appear good this year. I’ve had quite a few people contact me for details about it and the article about this year’s DylanFest on CraicOn.com gets 5-10 reads a day with people being put through from other websites like The Gathering and City of Culture websites.
It is also getting on national radio. People have told me they have heard it discussed on 2FM and Today FM. I’ve been on BBC Radio Foyle on the Morning Show talking about it and will be on Derry’s Drive 105 next week.
I’ve been told that it has been in the Irish Times. An article about the DylanFest also appears in today’s Irish News with it being the top story on Page 49, the very first article in the section about the City of Culture.
Accommodation
It’s looking very good. Let’s just hope we get the weather for it. It’s a great shame that the two hotels in town are closed. Let’s hope that all those that want to come can find somewhere to stay.
According to their website the Redcastle is fully booked till the end of the month. One doesn’t know whether that is with Dylan and Beatles fans or whether there are weddings or other such things on.
I do know that there are some girls who are having a girls weekend away for BeatlesFest weekend and who are staying at the Redcastle.
It’s a great opportunity to really put the DylanFest and BeatlesFest on the map. Let’s hope that all those that want to come can get here.
