Now returning for its 6th year, the renowned Foyle Folk Festival is back, taking place in The Courtyard at Café Soul, Derry-Londonderry on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2013.
The festival is regarded as a prestigious event for performers, locals and visitors alike and attracts acts from all over Ireland and further afield.
The Foyle Folk Festival is a small independently run festival organised by a voluntary committee, most of which are musicians themselves. This helps generate a very friendly, warm and laid back atmosphere, which adds greatly to the overall experience of the festival.
“We are delighted to announce the return of local heroes, ‘The Whole Tribe Sings’, they will be performing a special 1 off headlining slot on the Saturday night. This will be the first time the legendary band has properly reformed since they split 12 years ago making this years event the hottest ticket of the summer”. (Event Organsiers)
Tickets will be on sale soon and can be purchased in Café Soul, Guildhall Square and online at WeGotTickets.com. This is a Bring Your Own refreshments event. Music starts from 1pm on Saturday, come early.
