Fancy swimming round the lighthouse for Charity?
It’s the Swim that you’ve been waiting for. The Moville Lighthouse Swim 2013 is now confirmed for Saturday 27.July!
The current plan is 16:00 (BST/IST) Registration, Safety Briefing & Photo Shoot at Moville Pier for a 17:00 swim start, last swimmer expected back by 18:00. (For the technically minded, high tide is expected at Lisahally 17:00 (UST/GMT), or 18:00 BST/IST. With -45 mins differential for Moville, this makes for 17:15 BST/IST High Tide at Moville.)
There will be no Registration Fee for MLS 2013, but completion of a MLS 2013 Registration & Waiver Form (attached) is required prior to deadline 10.July.2013. All swimmers are required to be fully insured via ILDSA or their Swim Ireland Club as detailed in the Registration Form.
In keeping with the community spirit of this swim, swimmers may undertake the swim for a registered charity, but this is not a precondition to participate in the swim. As per long established tradition, all swimmers will swim around the lighthouse in a clockwise direction. NB: The Swim will only take place if conditions are deemed suitable by the Coastguard.
