The George Faulkner Memorial Cycle/ Walk will take place on Friday 21st June from Quigleys Point Community Centre. All walkers and cyclists are welcome. Cyclists must ensure to wear helmets. Walkers will start at 6pm, and cyclists will commence at 7pm.

The route on the night is optional! You can take the short option to Brendans’ shop in Drung and back again or venture a little further to Redcastle or even Moville! The choice is yours! All levels of  experience are welcome so you can choose which route suits you best.

This annual event helps raise much needed funds but it also remembers a local character from the village. George was well known and loved by all in Quigleys Point. This is a very fitting tribute to him.

All proceeds from the event go towards Our Lady’s Childrens Hospital in Crumlin and Quigley’s Point Community Centre. At present there are two local children in Our Lady’s Hospital. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the  Community Centre.
