Local girl Mary McConnellogue opened a new coffee/tea shop recently in Bridgend. Being an avid coffee drinker I had to check it out. Needless to say I’ve been back a few times since my first visit.

Cafe Macks offers a great selection of sandwiches/wraps/Panini’s and superb home made soup. A variety of fillings are on offer and you just make your selection and enjoy the end result. A breakfast bap will fill the gap or maybe just a scrumptious scone with jam and cream. Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed!

I also found everything to be of exceptional value. Prices range from a meagre €3 to a combo deal at just €7.50. Fridays you will find a special offer and last weeks was soup and sandwich of your choice, followed by home made apple pie and ice cream for a staggeringly low €6.50! Not half bad.

For the sweet loving among you there is also a variety of traybakes and muffins to choose from. Something for everyone.

So if you’re out and about and fancy a comfy, home comfort styled coffee/tea stop off, pop into Cafe Macks beside Devlins Fireplaces in Bridgend, Co. Donegal. And do tell them you were recommended by craic on Muff!
