There is one more song from Ryan O’Dochertaigh from Derry that is through but I haven’t got its name yet.
Also, we have a couple of guys coming up from Dublin for the contest so we’re going to put their songs before a panel who will decide if they deserve to get into the semi final and if they get any through they’ll come up for the semi and final on Grand Finals weekend. One of them, Sean O’Neill, finished 3rd last year.
As Lawrence Hackett couldn’t make it up from Limerick last night, and as he is the current Champion, I’ll see if we can arrange for him to sing his song somewhere, sometime to see if it gets through. It’s only fair that you get the chance to defend your title.
The draw for the two semis will happen shortly.
The first one is in the Castle Inn next Friday the 12th and the second is in the Sean Ti on the 19th.
The final, in front of Tony Bramwell, will take place on April 20th.
