Ireland’s only annual festival of Bob Dylan music, Stuck Inside of Moville, the DylanFest on the Lough will take place from August 22nd to 25th in the small holiday town of Moville in County Donegal, Ireland. This is the 7th year of the festival. Moville is one of those towns surrounded by countryside and on a salmon fishing sea lough where all the houses are painted different colours and the people friendly.

Some of the top Dylan acts in Europe have performed there over the years from Italy, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, England, Scotland and Wales as well as from all over Ireland, north and south. It is reckoned that it is the biggest DylanFest in Europe. It takes place over 4 days in the pubs and streets of the town all day long and at the Putting Green Cafe on the shore of Lough Foyle with a great view across the Lough which separates the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Said organiser Gerry McLaughlin “We are just looking at the acts for this year and are considering who we should have on, so if there are any good acts out there let us know. It will be an international cast of acts as usual. The quality goes up each year. It will actually take place on the same weekend as Beatles Week in Liverpool across the water so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up”.
